Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Prepare Your Workspace

Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides for easy removal later.
Set the pan aside while you prepare the fudge mixture.

Step 2: Combine Chocolate Chips and Condensed Milk

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk.
Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring thoroughly after each interval, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
This usually takes about 1–2 minutes, depending on your microwave’s power.

Step 3: Stir in Optional Add-Ins

If using vanilla extract, nuts, sprinkles, or other mix-ins, stir them into the melted chocolate mixture now.
Make sure everything is evenly distributed.

Step 4: Pour Into the Pan

Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
Tap the pan gently on the counter to release any air bubbles and create a smooth surface.

Step 5: Chill and Set

Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for 2–3 hours, or until the fudge is firm and holds its shape.
Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and place it on a cutting board.

Step 6: Cut Into Squares

Use a sharp knife to cut the fudge into bite-sized squares.
Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
