Making Perfect Apple Fritter Bread

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x5-inch loaf pan.
Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Layer:
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
Make the Bread Batter:
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the granulated sugar and softened butter until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
Assemble the Bread:
Pour half of the bread batter into the prepared loaf pan. Add half of the chopped apples on top of the batter, then sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the apples.
Pour the remaining batter over the apple layer, then top with the remaining apples and sprinkle with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Bake:
Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean. If the top starts to brown too quickly, you can tent it with aluminum foil.
Prepare the Glaze:
While the bread is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and milk in a small bowl until smooth.
Glaze the Bread:
Once the bread is done, allow it to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack. Drizzle the glaze over the warm bread.
Serve:
Slice and enjoy this delicious Amish Apple Fritter Bread!
This bread is perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a snack with a cup of tea or coffee. Enjoy! 🍎
