Chocolate Pecan Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Prepare the Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine chocolate cake mix, egg, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch baking pan.
Make the Filling: In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add eggs, one at a time, followed by vanilla, beating until well incorporated. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing until smooth. Fold in melted butter and pecans.
Assemble and Bake: Pour the filling over the cake base. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the filling is set and the edges are golden brown.
Cool and Serve: Let the cake cool completely before cutting into squares. Serve as is or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
