Chocolate Chip Cheesecake Cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cream cheese until smooth. Beat in the egg until well combined.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this to the creamed mixture until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips.
Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just turning golden. Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
