Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, combine the blackberries, granulated sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Set aside.
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Unfold the puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and roll it out to a 12x12 inch square. Cut the pastry into 4 equal squares.
Spoon a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture into the center of each pastry square, spreading it slightly. Top with the blackberry mixture.
Fold the corners of each square towards the center, pressing gently to seal.
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to make an egg wash. Brush the edges of the pastries with the egg wash.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastries are golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
Allow to cool slightly before serving.
