For the Lemon Curd:

1/2 cup fresh lemon juice

2 teaspoons lemon zest

1/2 cup sugar

3 eggs

4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

For the Whipped Cream Topping:

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons confectioners' sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
