Spicy Cajun Crab Croquettes

1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup additional breadcrumbs (for coating)
Vegetable oil (for frying)
Directions:
In a large bowl, combine the crab meat, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, mayonnaise, green onions, egg, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Shape the mixture into small patties or croquettes, about 2 inches in diameter.
Place the additional breadcrumbs in a shallow dish. Coat each croquette with the breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
Heat about 1/2 inch of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, fry the croquettes in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
Drain on paper towels and serve warm with lemon wedges or your favorite dipping sauce.
