American Style Breakfast Pancakes Fluffy American Pancakes with Maple Syrup

Prepare the Batter:
In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. The batter should be slightly lumpy.
Cook the Pancakes:
Heat a griddle or non-stick skillet over medium heat and lightly grease with butter or oil.
Pour 1/4 cup of batter onto the griddle for each pancake.
Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve:
Serve the pancakes warm with butter and maple syrup. Add fresh berries on top, if desired.
