Easy Pumpkin Pudding

Prepare the pudding:
In a medium saucepan, whisk together the pumpkin puree, whole milk, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cornstarch, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt until smooth.
Place the saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture begins to thicken and bubble, about 8-10 minutes.
Finish the pudding:
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the pudding into individual serving dishes or a large bowl.
Chill and serve:
Allow the pudding to cool slightly, then cover with plastic wrap, pressing the wrap directly onto the surface of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until well chilled.
Before serving, top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, if desired.
