Brownie with Pecans, Caramelized Bananas, and Whipped Cream

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
In another bowl, mix melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
Fold in chopped pecans.
Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
While the brownie is baking, heat a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced bananas and sprinkle with brown sugar. Cook until bananas are caramelized, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from heat and stir in heavy cream.
Let brownies cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve brownies topped with caramelized bananas and a dollop of whipped cream.
