OLD FASHIONED ORANGE CANDY

° 1 can (6 ounces) fruit pectin
° 3/4 cup water
° 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
° 1-1/4 cups sugar, divided
° 1 cup light corn syrup
° 2 teaspoons orange extract
° 5 drops each: red and yellow liquid food coloring
* How to make it :
Spray a 9-by-5-inch loaf pan with cooking spray; Sit aside.
Mix pectin, water, and baking soda in a medium saucepan (the mixture will be frothy).
Combine 1 cup of sugar and corn syrup in a large saucepan.
Cook over high heat for 4 minutes, or until the pectin mixture runs out of foam and the sugar mixture comes to a full boil (boiling that doesn't stop bubbling when stirring), stirring frequently in both saucepans.
Bit by bit adding pectin mixture to boiling sugar mix, stir constantly.
Boil about a min , stir constantly.
Removing from heat.
