° 1 whole lemon, washed and de-seeded (fresh from the tree and in the best season)

° 4 large eggs

° 1/2 cup melted (salted) butter

° 1 teaspoon vanilla (I use this)

° 1 1/2 cups sugar

° 1 piece (9") unbaked (I'm using a deep frozen dish)

° 1 cup whipping cream

° 2 tablespoons of sugar
