° 1 1/2 - 2 pounds ground beef
° 1 large onion (chopped)
° 3 garlic cloves (minced)
° 2 carrots (finely chopped)
° 6 - 7 cups of chopped green cabbage
° 6 slices of cooked bacon (finely chopped)
° 2-10 ounces of beef
° 1 - 28 ounces chopped tomatoes
° 1 - 5 ounce of tomato paste
° 2 1/2 cups regular tomato sauce (1 - 23 ounce can)
° 2 cups of water
° 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
° 2 bay leaves
° 2 tablespoons brown sugar
° 3/4 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
° Salt and pepper to taste
