1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups whipping cream or heavy cream
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 20-ounce can crushed pineapple, well drained
Directions
1. In a medium bowl, graham cracker Mix cracker crumbs, melted butter and sugar until well combined.
2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 20 x 20 cm bowl to form a firm crust.
3. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with half of the whipped topping. Beat until smooth.
4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust.
5. In the same bowl, mix the drained pineapple with the remaining whipped cream well.
6. Spread the pineapple mixture over the cream cheese layer.
7. Let it rest in the fridge for at least four hours, preferably overnight, so that the dessert sets.
8. Garnish with optional additional whipped cream and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs before serving.
Variations & Tips
For a twist on this classic, you can add different layers of fruit like peach or mango for a tropical touch, or mix nuts into the crust to add crunch. If you prefer a less sweet option, reduce the sugar in the crust or opt for a natural whipped cream.
