Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- Melt yeast and sugar in lukewarm water.
- Add flour, milk, oil, and yogurt to the yeast mixture.
- Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
- Let the dough rise for about 2 hours.
- Shape the Naan:
- Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
- Flatten each ball into an oval shape using a rolling pin or by hand.
- Cooking:
- Heat a skillet or tawa over medium-high heat.
- Place the flattened naan on the hot skillet and cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface.
- Flip the naan and cook the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Garlic Butter:
- Melt butter in a small saucepan.
- Add minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until fragrant.
- Brush the cooked naan with the garlic butter mixture.
- Serve and Enjoy!
- Serve the homemade naan bread warm with your favorite curries or dips.
Note: You can also sprinkle some chopped cilantro or sesame seeds on top of the naan before cooking for added flavor and texture.
