Homemade Naan Bread: Easy Steps

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • Melt yeast and sugar in lukewarm water.
    • Add flour, milk, oil, and yogurt to the yeast mixture.
    • Knead the dough until smooth and elastic.
    • Let the dough rise for about 2 hours.
  2. Shape the Naan:
    • Divide the dough into equal portions and shape them into balls.
    • Flatten each ball into an oval shape using a rolling pin or by hand.
  3. Cooking:
    • Heat a skillet or tawa over medium-high heat.
    • Place the flattened naan on the hot skillet and cook until bubbles start to appear on the surface.
    • Flip the naan and cook the other side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Garlic Butter:
    • Melt butter in a small saucepan.
    • Add minced garlic to the melted butter and cook until fragrant.
    • Brush the cooked naan with the garlic butter mixture.
  5. Serve and Enjoy!
    • Serve the homemade naan bread warm with your favorite curries or dips.

Note: You can also sprinkle some chopped cilantro or sesame seeds on top of the naan before cooking for added flavor and texture.
