EASY RECIPE FOR JAM-FILLED DONUTS

  • Directions:

    1. Prepare yeast dough: In a large bowl, mix the flour, dry yeast, sugar and a pinch of salt. In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg and then mix with the warm milk and melted butter. Add the liquid ingredients to the flour mixture and knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about an hour.
    2. Form donuts: Roll out the risen dough on a lightly floured surface into a disk about 1 cm thick. Cut out circles using a donut cutter. For filled donuts, you can either form small balls and press them into the center of each donut, or roll out the donut dough flat, place a teaspoon of jam in the center, then fold and seal the dough around the jam to form a filled ball.
    3. Frying: Heat oil in a pot or deep fryer to around 180°C. Carefully place the donuts in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen paper.
    4. Serve: Let the donuts cool and optionally dust with powdered sugar. Enjoy the jam-filled donuts as a delicious snack or dessert!
