Ingredients for the cake:
- 1 cup (approx. 120 g) angel flour (fine flour)
- 1 1/2 cups (about 300 g) sugar, divided
- 12 egg whites, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 teaspoon orange peel, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon Creme of Tartar (cream of tartar) or 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Ingredients for the passion fruit syrup:
- 1 cup (approx. 240 ml) fresh passion fruit juice
- 1/2 cup (approx. 100 g) sugar
- Juice of half a lemon
